"Working with Jan Delay in the recording studio was an amazing experience. I've always wanted to know how a song is produced, and now I'm actually involved with one -- it couldn't get any better!" Mesut Özil Both men are creative -- one on the football pitch, one in the domain of hip hop and soul. Forward Mesut Özil and Werder fan Jan Delay met before Özil's flight to South Africa for one session on the football pitch and one in the recording studio. At the sessions, Mesut Özil showed that he knows his way round a microphone as well as a football. Proof of this comes from the special edition of Jan Delay's song "Large", which features on the album "Wir Kinder vom Bahnhof Soul". The German team's all-rounder makes reference to the football event of the year: "I'm young, born in the eighties and I'm bringing the Cup from South Africa..." No official date for the release of the song has yet been announced.
