Is Agyaat a satire?

Ram Gopal Varma’s ‘Agyaat’ is a surprise, a nearly suave portrayal of horror. I guess the idea of horror films is somewhat based on a form of catharsis. It is relieving to watch people get killed in various fashions (and realise that one is still alive and safe while being able to experience the gore and pain of such a death) by the unknown killer as the film always reveals the identity of the killer (as in, ‘I know what you did last summer’- in this case a man wearing a hat and rain coat ) or concocts a reason as to why the killer kills (as in ‘Psycho’) by the end.
