We had an offscreen interview of Karan Wahi-Jennifer Winget jeran where they take promises.   Jubilant Foodworks will list on the exchanges today and its issue price was at Rs 145 per share. Managing Editor of CNBC-TV18, Udayan Mukherjee says "The prospects look good for the company. For FY11, the company will do Rs 500 crore on sales. The profit after tax would be Rs 50 crore on that sales and EBITDA would be much higher."

  India's Cords Cable Industries has started construction of a new Rs.85 crore (US$20m) project, in the Alwar district of Rajasthan (India), to increase capacity of specialty cables aimed at the power industry, refineries, airport modernization and metro railways markets - of which Cords Cable is the largest manufacturer in India. Naveen Sawhney, Managing Director, said at the beginning of January that he expects the new project will be commissioned towards July 2010 and fully operative from Q3 of fiscal 2010-11 at the rated output, reaching total output in 2011-12 only - when turnover should be around Rs550-600 crore (US$121-132m). About 20-25% of output is expected to go to overseas markets mainly in Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Here is a verbatim transcript of the interview: Q: Highlight your expansion plans; on what segment would you be focusing on because you are pretty diversified on the entire cable industry, where would a bulk of this expansion come in? What is the amount you are planning to spend? How are you planning to fund it and eventually when will all this start hitting your topline? A: We have already commenced the construction for this new project, which is in Alwar district in the State of Rajasthan, the construction is on and the machinery orders have been placed.   Fortis Q3 net profit jumps 330%...
  Fortis Hospitals has reported a 330 per cent jump in profits for the quarter ending December 2009. The company expects to close the fiscal year with Rs 100 crore in profits meaning a Rs 50 crore odd profit just for the coming quarter.

  Iran and Pakistan have signed a $7.5bn deal to build a pipeline that will transport massive quantities of natural gas between the two countries. Dubbed the "peace pipeline", the deal is expected to significantly improve ties between the countries. Joslyn Davis here in Beverly Hills with news on a serious career move for Zac Efron. It's obvious that Zac is taking his future in the movie business to a whole new level. He just signed a first look deal with Warner Brothers that will be good for two years. This essentially means that Zac will have the opportunity to choose and develop his own projects through a new production company, but he'll have the backing of one of the biggest studios in Hollywood to get the work done. Apparently the first film project Zac is set to work with Warner on is a "Back to the Future-like comedy." The young actor has several other movie projects in the pipeline right now, including Charlie St. Cloud and Fire. The deal Zac made with Warner is a huge deal in the movie business, because it shows that the studio has a lot of confidence in his ability to bring people in for big box office numbers. Plus, Deadline Hollywood is reporting that he is the youngest-ever actor (he's 22 by the way) to get a deal like this.
